A. Definition

An affidavit of support is a statement of a sponsor's income, resources, and willingness to support. Form i-134 (or a similar form) is filed with the immigration and naturalization service by a u.s. Resident who sponsors an alien seeking admission to the u.s. As a permanent resident.
