DI 81001: Certified Electronic Folder (CEF)

Effective Dates: 01/25/2008 - Present

BASIC (01-08)

To determine if a folder is a CEF:

  • Access the Status/History Tab in eView to determine whether a certified electronic folder was created for the case. See Status/History Tab - DI 81005.055.

  • If there is a check in the box next to the paper folder indicator (PFI) “A paper folder has been created for this filing,” the official folder is paper.

  • If the box is not checked, then the official folder is fully electronic.
