DI 11050: Railroad (RR) Cases

BASIC (10-07)

A. Filing a New Initial Disability Claim - Freeze Previously Completed

When the NH files a claim for DIB based on work since the prior determination, or now meets the DIB insured status requirement; and EC or ICERS shows that a joint RRB-SSA freeze decision has been made,

  • Secure application(s) and complete EDCS,

  • Document prior claim information in EDCS, and

  • Transfer the claim to Great Lakes Program Service Center-Disability Processing Branch (GLPSC-DPB) V32 for processing.

B. Filing a New Initial Non-Disability Claim - Freeze Previously Completed

If EC or ICERS shows that a joint RRB-SSA freeze has been established, the FO:

  • Takes the initial application,

  • Secures all proofs, and

  • Sends the completed RIB, auxiliary, or survivor claim to the servicing PSC via A101 for the necessary award. If the claim is a denial, process through EC or MACADE.
